Gena Bonitatibus, M.D. | Board Certified in Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology
Dr. Bonitatibus attended Evans High School in Evans, GA. She graduated from Georgia Tech where she was a Presidential Scholar with a degree in chemical engineering.
She attended medical school at UAB (University of Alabama at Birmingham). Dr. Bonitatibus returned to the Augusta area to complete her training in Pediatrics and her fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
She was briefly on the faculty at the Medical College of Georgia in the Department of Pediatrics and worked as a Pediatric Hospitalist for Pediatric Gastroenterology and Pulmonogy.
Dr. Bonitatibus is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.
Her special interests include allergies, sinus problems, hayfever, asthma, children's asthma, insect allergy, eosinophilic esophagitis, food allergies and atopic dermatitis.
Robyn Slaton, RN AE-C | Registered Nurse
Lead Nurse, Certified Nurse Asthma Educator
Robyn is a lifelong resident of the Augusta/Martinez area. She is a licensed, registered nurse.
She is the nurse manager. She is responsible for coordinating our allergy shot program, special injections such as Xolair, Fasenra, Nucala, Dupixent and other injectable medications. She assists Dr. Bonitatibus and is responsible for venom testing, drug challenges, food challenges, and other special procedures. Robyn is a Certified Nurse Asthma Educator.
Her previous work experience includes pediatric nursing. She also has a diverse background in dental health and banking in the past.
Tracie Broome | Office Coordinator
Lead Back Office Coordinator
Tracie is a long term resident of Augusta, Georgia. She oversees billing and office scheduling. She helps to coordinate general office business procedures. She is the point of contact in our office for our billing company which is based out of Atlanta.
Katherine Becton, LPN | Licensed Practical Nurse
Katherine is a licensed practical nurse. She obtained her LPN degree at Augusta Technical College.
Katherine is responsible for general patient care including helping with office visits, skin tesitng, pulmonary function testing and assisting patients with their individualized care plans. She is responsible for mixing and coordinating our sublingual immunotherapy program.
She has previous work experience in cardiology, nephrology, geriatrics and wound care.
