Helpful Hints for Your First Visit

We look forward to seeing you at the Augusta Allergy & Asthma Clinic!

• Please bring the NEW PATIENT FORMS with you to your appointment.  Please make sure everything is filled out prior to your appointment.

• Allow 2-3 hours for your new patient appointment.  Many patients will finish before this, but there is no way to know how many tests need to be done until you see the doctor.   We advise parents not to bring other children because of the amount of time involved.  If the appointment is for your child, try to bring only that child if possible.  We understand that circumstances do not always permit this.

• DO NOT TAKE ANY ANTIHISTAMINES OR OTHER MEDICATIONS THAT MIGHT INTERFERE WITH SKIN TESTING FOR 5 (FIVE) DAYS PRIOR TO TESTING.  Please CLICK HERE for a list of medications that interfere with skin testing.  If you are not sure whether or not to stop a medication or you think you cannot stop taking your medication, please call our office prior to your appointment.

• Obtain a referral from your primary care provided if required by your insurance company.  Please bring your insurance card and a copy of your referral to your appointment.  If a referral is required and we do not have your referral before you are seen, you may be held responsible for payment of the visit.

• Co-pays are required at the time of your visit.

• Please bring any chest or sinus x-ray results, lab results, previous skin test results and old records with you for your visit.

• Please give us at least 24 hours notice for cancellations.
